The annual filings for land in Chapter 61A (agricultural/horticultural use) and Chapter 61B (recreation) are due in the Assessors’ Office at 12 School Street on or before Monday, October 3, 2011. Blank forms were sent out with last year’s approvals, but additional blank forms are available here on the web site (Town Departments, Assessors) or in the racks on the wall outside the office.  If the Assessors’  office is closed, you may slide the completed form under their office door or leave it in the mail locker in the front hall, near the Town Clerk’s office.

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS

Please be reminded that it is illegal (per Town of Sunderland bylaw Chapter 140 §144-11 Prohibited connections) to connect sump pumps, roof drains and other types of pumping devices into the sewer collection system (drains directly or indirectly connected to the public sanitary sewer). This practice can cause severe damage, as well as backups, to the Waste Water Collection/Treatment System.
