Recess 1928 hrs

Returned to session at 1945 hrs

Loren Belida and Bill Turner of The HL Turner Group informed the board that most of the material is on site and the roof shingles will be 50 year as the original choice was not available in the quantity required with no increase in cost. The project is in the challenging phase, getting qualified sub bids and framing crews to install trusses. Effective August 5th the work hours will be from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs. The initial budget of $3.165 million appears to be more like $3.3 million including the Kindergarten Roof, but not the Gym Roof at $26,000.  Weather has delayed the project and some water damage has been done to the inside of the school. The individual involved in the industrial accident is still hospitalized with cranial damage around the eye. Contact with the DF Pray personnel was difficult, the board wants a call list updated every Friday at 1200 hrs for the upcoming weekend and the alarm call list modified to notify DF Pray personnel for the remainder of the contract.  Industrial Hygienist was in over the weekend to determine and mark any wet sheet rock for removal.  Project plan called for the opening no more of the roof than could be closed at the end of the work cycle. The method and means of performing the job is DF Pray’s.

Thanked the highway crew that water proofed the new vault in the library and congratulated the Firemen’s Assoc. for a good Chicken Bar BQ event.
