The Franklin Regional Council of Governments will accept sealed bids on behalf of the Town of Sunderland for Complete Streets Improvements through funding from MassDOT.

Sealed bids, plainly marked "Sunderland Complete Streets IFB 20201211” in the lower left hand corner of the envelope will be received by Franklin Regional Council of Governments, 12 Olive St. Suite 2, Greenfield, MA  01301, until December 11, 2020 at 2 p.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read.  COVID-19 PRECAUTION STATEMENT:  The Building may still be closed to the public at this time and bids will be read outside the building.  Courier Services such as Fedex and UPS are discouraged as they will not attempt entry to the building.  Please use U.S. Mail or bring the bid in person to the bid opening.  You may call ahead to have a staff person meet you at the door to accept your bid.

MassDOT Prequalification is required for this project in the category of HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION for $299,287.   Contractors should contact the MassDOT Prequalification Hotline at 857-368-8660 or email prequal.r109@state.ma.us if they have questions about Prequalification.

Wage rates for this bid are subject to prevailing wage rates as per MGL Chapter 149, Section 26 - 27f  inclusive.   This bid is being undertaken per MGL Ch 30 §39M requiring a 5% bid bond/deposit and 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond.

A MANDATORY prebid meeting will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2020 starting at 3pm at the Sunderland Town Hall, 12 School Street, Sunderland, MA moving to the work sites.  A snow date may be utilized on Monday, November 23 at 3pm.

The Town of Sunderland is the awarding authority and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in total or in part as they may deem in the best public interest.
